Facebook Messenger Video Chat gets Animated Reactions, Masks and Filters

After recent update in Instagram Stories, Facebook rolled out a new feature for its users on Facebook Messenger. Facebook keeps its users engaged by getting new stuff on the App. This time Facebook Messenger has a greatest update. Facebook has rolled out animated reactions, filters, mask, and effects for video chats in Messenger.
Facebook Messenger
Animated Reactions
Starting with animated reactions, Facebook Messenger users can utilise one of the five emoji icons to express their emotions like love, laughter, surprise, sadness, or anger. "These reactions will animate onto the screen and then disappear, so you can express yourself in the moment," Facebook said in its news post.
Adding to this, the authority says that these reactions will present themselves in different versions depending on whether your face is on or off the screen.
Filters
Next up, users will now see new video filters in Messenger. Essentially, one will be able to choose from filters, ranging from subtle lighting tweaks to bold color changes. There’s also a live preview feature that lets users test the filter on themselves before using it with friends.
Masks
While masks have already been available in the Messenger for some time, Facebook has added some new mask options and also introduced new effects to make video chats lively. "Unlike reactions, masks and effects stay on the screen for the duration of the video chat (or until you take them off or switch to another one)," the company said.
Facebook Messenger
Screenshots During Video Chat
Finally, Messenger will allow users to take screenshots during video chats and share them with friends later. To take a screenshot during the video call, tap on the camera icon and the screenshot will be saved in device’s camera roll. Users can choose to either share these screenshots directly to social media or just save the pictures to gallery instead.
As Facebook is focussed towards making Messenger more interactive for the users. It will also help marketers to engage their audience by sending greetings and broadcasting through Messenger App. A chatbot is the most focused feature for 2017 and as I have mentioned it in my post earlier.
As Facebook is changing trends by rolling out the new feature. It will become mandatory to stay updated with latest trends even if you are not a digital marketer. Because this trends will change a lot of interactive things across the globe. If you think this article will help you, do not forget to write a feedback below in the comment section. How to Add Link to Instagram Stories and Drive Traffic to Your Website

All the time Facebook, Instagram and Twitter release something new on their app or website. However, first access is provided to users who have verified accounts or are celebrities. Still, so many access are not provided to ordinary accounts or profiles. Like Facebook released editing of live video, mention apps, etc. only for the verified accounts.
instagram stories
Now, if you are thinking to get your social media account verified. Let me tell you, they will not verify it simply looking at your documents. In order to verified tick you need to be a public figure. However, Facebook has stopped giving bluetick on its page. If it is a non-profit organization they will offer white tick only.
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media sites have some sort of the same story. It's better to convert your normal account to business account. Nowadays business accounts are also getting prioritized. Let me tell you how?
Like many marketing features, recently Instagram has rolled out clickable links in stories. To add link in Instagram stories was first released for the verified accounts only. However, Instagram planned to expand this features to more marketers on the platform. Clickable stories links are available for Business Profiles (not Personal Profiles) that have over 10,000 followers.
Trust me it's very easy to add URL to your Instagram Stories. I want you to just follow the steps:
1. Way to start your Instagram Stories.
Take an image or video directly within the Instagram Stories app or swipe up on the Story screen to import any image taken within the last 24 hours.
2. Adding a link to your image or video.
Now, once you have uploaded the image or video, you will find several options available for editing image and video. Now, to add your link, click on the chain link icon at the top of your story.
instagram stories
Now, a new window will appear on your app. This window will allow you to input the link of your choice. This link can take your audience to the product page, purchase page, blog post or lead to information available on the website. Type in the complete URL address and tap on the green checkmark (on Android) or “Done” (on iOS) to save the link.

Once you've successfully linked URL to your Instagram story, you will find the chain link icon highlighted to show that you have linked URL.

3. Continue editing story:
You can also use other options available like text, stickers and filters to your story. This will guide your audience more appropriately. I would also highly recommend using a call to action button which will direct the user to access the links. Common CTAs include “Swipe up to see more” or “Tap ‘See More’ to visit our website.”
If 'See More' option is not clearly visible to viewers they might skip this part and move to another story. So it is better to indicate a sign through a call to action (CTA). In fact, some new user to Instagram might not even now about such features. So, if you market to gain the interest of your audience this is the key to success.
4. Effective Marketing Strategy:
As Instagram has started this feature many of the marketers will be excited to use it and will be posting a lot of links to the story. However, this is not the way it should be. If you are posting 3 to 4 images use only one URL for them. If you are using 5 to 8 images use maximum 2 URL. Your image should engage viewers and direct them to the meaningful URL. The image and URL should indicate the same purpose.
instagram stories
And remember, not every story collection needs to include a link. As a marketer, you must ensure that the link you provide adds value and context to your story in a way that benefits the viewer.
I recommend you using URL shortener such as Bit.ly or Rebrand.ly to create a shortened URL you can track metrics with. As Instagram Story analytics do not currently track URL clicks, so to measure your traffic and conversions, you’ll want to use a link that you can track separately.
5. Drive Traffic to your website:
The images or videos that you post should contain some offers, discounts, compliments, etc. to drive attention of viewers. Make them know what you want them to do on your website. This will definitely help you engaging viewers.
If you want to show some new blog post on your website then use attractive topic. Tease your viewers the way they like to gain their attention on your images or video. This strategy will definitely help you drive traffic to your website.
instagram stories
Conclusion: There doesn’t appear to be any geographic restrictions to clickable stories links, and as the feature gains in popularity and usage, we can hope Instagram will continue to roll this feature out to even more users. How Hashtags in Social Media can be Beneficial for your Business?

We are quite familiar with the word 'hashtag' nowadays. All around on social media, we see something with the hash (#) sign and extended word or slogan with it. Also, it is known as 'pound sign' in The United Kingdom preferably it is related to the currency. It has its participation in computer languages. This will be helpful for basic information.
hashtags
1. What is hashtag?
A word or phrase preceded by a hash sign (#), used on social media websites and applications, especially Twitter, to identify messages on a specific topic.
2. History of hashtag
Chris Messina, a social technology expert, is credited to have come up with the very first hashtag on Twitter. He first posted the hashtag #barcamp in August 2007.
According to Messina's suggestion, use of the hashtag can make it easy for "lay" users to search for content and find specific relevant updates; they are for people who do not have the technological knowledge to navigate the site. Therefore, the hashtag “was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages."
3. How to use Hashtag in Business?
Now because of Hashtag, it's very easy to track all the post related to it on any social media sites. Hashtags are capable enough to make a brand popular. It can help you get trending if the use of hashtags is done by the good number of followers on social media.
Normally, people type any sort of hashtag like #cool, #winter, #enjoy, #travelling, #bag, #love, etc. Such types of hashtags create no sense. The hashtag is basically for brand or logo promotion, cause or slogan promotion.
Let's us understand with an example.
Consider that you are in a seminar or event of an organization which works for cancer survivors. Many times they will mention their organization name (one of which I know is "Jannat"). This event may take place on the National Cancer Survivors Day. In this case, you can use two meaningful hashtags #Jannat and #NationalCancerSurvivorsDay on your status with some pictures explaining about the event you attended conducted by the organization.
Once people attending that event start updating their status on the social media using this particular hashtags. It will get the brand in the trending section immediately and this will help for awareness of the brand and cause it supports. However, if a brand is not using a unique hashtag, then it is for sure that brand name will never rise but will get buried within sometime.
Other examples on sports events are:
a. India and Pakistan Cricket Match were most commonly used hashtag is #INDvPAK
b. Football FIFA World Cup #FIFAWorldCup
Hashtags
Hashtags
How many Hashtags can be used in social media?
Twitter recommends using no more than 2 hashtags per Tweet as the best practice, but you may use as many hashtags in a Tweet as you like.
Instagram allows only 30 hashtags per post. However, 11 hashtags are enough per post. Using all 30 is not necessary. Incase more than 30 hashtags is used your comment won't post.
Facebook recommend using 3 hashtags per post. However, one can use as many hashtags they want.
LinkedIn has no limits to the number of hashtags that can be added to each article. However, you can consider which hashtag is more important.
Other social media sites like Tumblr, Pinterest, Google+, etc., also allows the hashtags. While you post or tweet I would recommend you to tag someone rather than using a lot of hashtags. Tagging profile associated with tweet or posts will give more reach on social media.
Conclusion: Hope you find this blog useful. As, social media changes it rules and strategies every now and then, this figures might also change. Stay updated with all the blogs on this website. Incase you find any mistake here or you want me to add something new to the blog kindly, comment below or you can also email me with suggestion.
